What a cutie pie

I got a chance to spend an afternoon with “K”. See, we have an understanding, she goes and does what ever she wants and I follow around behind her. It works out very well and really the way I prefer to take pictures of little ones. It is so cool to see what catches their attention. “K” really is such a cute little one and has such a great personality. She is such a happy and smart little girl. It’s now wonder, she has such a sweet momma and is surrounded by people that love her. “A” thank you so much for choosing me to take “K’s” spring pictures. I had such a good time and loved spending just a little while with you both. I can’t wait to get all of you in front of my camera and tell “K” I still have my flower! Here are just a few from our time together. I had a really hard time narrowing it down and I still went into picture over load.

My first ......

Wedding that is! My dearest friend and fabulous photographer April, ask me to help her out with her last wedding. I was so nervous. Even a week before the big day the thought of it made me want to throw up. Weddings are a totally different ball game than portraits. I mean if I mess up your 2 year olds portraits, we can just do them again, but a wedding, I can not say “hey can y’all get married again, I screwed it up”. The wedding was at the Clairmount house in Rome. I have driven by this beautiful house so many times and wonder what it looked like on the inside. It truly is a beautiful place full of history, amazing architecture, and it is a photographer’s nightmare. There was not as much natural light as I had hoped and what little we did have was muted by the tornado’s bouncing around and the hail falling from the sky. This was not a get your feet wet wedding; it was jumping in the deep end kind. Thank goodness for a strong, confidant, relaxed April. She had everything well in hand and knew how to handle every situation. I will say as far as weddings go this one was….different, beautiful, but different. No one seemed very interested in having their pictures made. Once the ceremony started everything seemed very rushed and there was very few of the traditional wedding stuff done. Very few pictures of the new couple celebrating, no cutting of the cake, tossing the bouquet or garter, and no mad dash getaway with bird seed or bubbles. None the less Haven and Hilary got married. I am only sharing a few, because to be honest it was not my best work. All I can say is thank God the happy couple is not depending on me to fill their wedding album.lol

Alternator

I can not believe it has taken me this long to get this posted. I should be ashamed for not sharing these sooner and letting all of you meet these guys. So without further adieu meet Josh, Jake, Alvin, Caleb, and Jonathan. They make up a heavy metal band out of Calhoun, GA called Alternator. I have never had the opportunity to photograph a band so I was more than a little nervous. Most guys do not like having their picture taken to begin with so I was not really sure what I was going to do with five guys. But this great group made it a blast. We had a lot of fun and got some good pictures for them to use. They all had a great sense of humor and were willing to do anything I asked of them, even if some didn’t like heights very much. I got over my nerves when I realized that they were easy going guys that had some ideas of their own. Heavy Metal is not my style but I hope I get the chance to hear them play. I have no doubt they put on a heck of a show, plus I can say “oh, I know the band”.

Thanks guys for being willing to do what ever I asked of you. I really appreciate your time and I hope you like your pictures. I hope that they are what you were looking for and I can’t wait till we get a chance to work together again!

Just a quick one for now.......

I am really in the mood to get some new shots of my two cuties. They are changing and growing so much and come on I am a mom who loves showing off her babies. For my kids though it has to be just the right place and they have to be just in the right mood to actually make this happen. We made an attempt yesterday with not to much luck, but I had to share these few. They have really taken a liking to this silly boggin'. Which I really wouldn't care, but it is not even a cute little boggin'. Oh, well here are a few that I processed real quick. I will post more later if I have anything worth sharing. Also, be on the look out for Noah's opening day and a few of his games.
